After high school, Lars was drafted into the military in which he completed his basic military service for nine months with the Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards), an infantry regiment of the Danish army. After completing his military service, Lars realized that it wasn't what he wanted , and began to look for something different. He decided to study biology. Anette who was working for the military for the past year, came home from a juggler's class to show Lars how she could juggle within just three days. Lars was awestruck and wanted to learn more. So, he dropped out college and enrolled at the juggler's school. At this school he learned fire breathing and juggling, among other things. Then he traveled with two of his classmates through Europe as a touring artist, performing in cities like Paris, Munich and Moscow. Then, two years later, he came into contact with a children's circus, and he was introduced to pantomime, as well as street and children's play.
